Local emperor. A term that had been closely linked to the former large parties ÖVP and Spö for decades. In the last municipal elections in 2020, the People’s Party arrived in 177 (!) Communities the absolute majority – for the red this was the case with 66 municipalities. You don’t have to be too big a prophet to conclude that this will hardly be repeated in just over a month. And even for freedom, the trees will not almost certainly grow in heaven with all the euphoria.
