The registered unemployment in the month of June in Euskadi fell by 1710 people (1.51% less) and in 713 in Navarre (2.22% less), compared to the previous month’s figures.
According to data released today, Monday, by the Ministry of Labor and Social Economy, in the CAV are 111 642 people job seekers, and 31,349 in Navarre
through historic areas, Gipuzkoa it’s where there’s been a bigger drop, with 834 fewer people. On the second place, Biscaywith 804 fewer unemployed and 72 in Alavaalways in relation to the registered unemployment of the previous month.
Compared to the same period last year, the number of unemployed in the Basque Country decreased by 8.76% (1.51% compared to the previous month). In the Comunidad Foral, the decline is even more pronounced, to 13.56%.
In the state as a whole, the number of unemployed has fallen by 42,409, bringing the total below 2.9 million for the first time since the fall of 2008.
