Terrible winter sports accident on Tuesday in Ellmau in the Tyrolean Unterland: a 65-year-old skier fell to fall and opened the head with the head on the slopes that he lost consciousness. The senior slid further through the valley and eventually poured a fan fence with full force.
According to the police, the fatal accident took place shortly before 12 hours in the “Skiwelt Wilder Kaiser – Brixent”. The 65-year-old German drove the valley on a blue marked slope when he lost control and fell.
“The skier must be so firmly open with his head on the compact slopes that he lost consciousness, slid about 30 meters above the slope through the valley and eventually crashed into the fence,” the researchers described the dramatic course of the accident.
With an emergency helicopter in the clinic
Other winter athletes who had observed the accident immediately offered first aid and had an emergency call. The seriously injured skier was then first provided by the Ellmau Slope Rescue and the crew of the medical emergency helicopter C4 and then flown to the Innsbruck clinic.
