Does the Wolfgang Porsche tunnel get an extra exit for emergency services on the Kapuzinerberg? City councilor Christoph Ferch loves this idea of the residents.
Salzburg’s Stadtberge and the gaps in it are always good for excitement. After the Mönchsberg and his garage, the Kapuzinerberg and the planned Porsche tunnel are now on. In between it went around a hole in the middle of the Stadsbergjes, the now sinking S-Link.
In which form of the Porsche tunnel in the Kapuzinerberg is still being realized is still open. Everything is currently waiting for an expert opinion that will be available soon. This is financed by the now owner of the Zweig villa on Kapuzinerberg, Porsche Supervisory Board Hoofd Wolfgang Porsche, and is intended to clarify whether the one-off payment of 40,000 euros is proportional to the use of Stadtgrund for tunnels and underground garage.
Only when the report is available, the city council must be coordinated by the necessary change in the dedication of space. As reported, Anrainer suggests his own exit from the tunnel on the Kapuzinerberg to have a second weather -resistant supply road for the mountain.
Exit would be conceivable above the branch villa
There is currently only the narrow, winding driveway of Linzer Gasse for emergency vehicles. City councilor Christoph Ferch (List of Salz) says: “With an outcome for the residents I am involved in a decision for the tunnel. If the result does not exist, you must explain why that should not work.”
He even knows the place for a possible exit: above the Villa branch, behind the gatekeeper house, which is also owned by the city. “This would also be better connected to the hood monastery and the Franziskischlössl. I see great benefits in it,” says Ferch.
Adrainians such as Doris Rügbergen also support the tunnel. A second driveway to the mountain would bring benefits. “We have not received any traffic lights for many years when there were construction sites on the Kapuzinerberg,” she recalls. The fact that Wolfgang Porsche, in which Stefan Zweig once lived, is being renovated, says “Great” city council. This also applies to a tunnel – including an exit. “It would be a good thing for the city. You should not say reflexively, that doesn’t work,” Ferch is convinced.
