Beekeepers in the US report dramatic losses. 62 percent of their bee oils have died since June 2024 – that is hundreds of millions of animals. “I have never experienced anything like that. This amount of losses is incredible,” explains the dramatic situation with the beekeeper Tom Babcock.

Entire beehives have been stolen
The causes are diverse: pesticides, parasites and other diseases and poor food increase insects. Moreover, there is a growing problem with the beekeepers: the theft of entire beehives.
The consequences for agriculture are huge: bees in the United States sprinkle the value of the equivalent of 15.5 billion euros per year. Harvest failure and massive rising food prices threaten.

The industry calls for active supportive bees – with bee -friendly plants, the absence of pesticides in the garden and more environmental protection.
