About 6000 fish died on Wednesday night in Neustift in the Tyrolean Stubai Valley. According to police, an initially unknown perpetrator had blocked the freshwater supply to the first pond of a fish farm.
The perpetrator blocked the freshwater supply at the fish farm in Neustift with pieces of grass and a wooden board. This resulted in fish kills in two of the three ponds that were connected by inlet and outlet pools.

“As a result, about 6,000 spring shears died in agony,” police said. At the request of the Innsbruck district administration, both water samples and dead animals were sent for examination.
