In the case of a frontal collision of two cars on Thursday morning near Bad Miterndorf in the Liezen District (Styria), both vehicle drivers were injured. The cause of the accident is still the subject of the investigation.
Around 4.40 a 26-year-old from the Liezen District on the B 145 in Klachau was in the direction of Bad Miterndorf on the B 145. For an unknown cause, it is possible on the opposite track at the peak of the street kilometer 108.4. As a result, she collided head-on with an oncoming car, directed by a 21-year-old, also from the Liezen district. Both people were caught in their vehicles.
Emergency services of the Fire Brigades Pürgg, Stainach and Unterburg have released the two drivers from the fully damaged vehicles. After the first aid, the young woman was flown to the UKH Salzburg with serious injuries by the C 14 Rescue Helicopter. The 21-year-old was admitted to hospital in bad Aussee with injuries of an indefinite degree.

An alkotest performed by the man was negative. Due to the serious injuries, an alcohol test was not possible with the 26-year-old. The B 145 was completely closed at the location of the accident until 6.30 am.
