A team of three from Jagers left together on Good Friday during the competition in the Aufhausen district of Piesendorf. The trio separated in the early evening. Because the contact with one of the hunters was demolished from 8 p.m., the two colleagues warned the emergency services.
The Mountain Rescue then went looking. They searched the steep terrain with a dog squadron. Shortly after midnight the Mountain rescuers found the 60-year-old hunter: he crashed in steep terrain and collapsed with his serious injuries.
