In the middle of the night – Search: Young people took abbreviation by Sulm

Date:

A wild night for a young person in Gleinstätten in Styria was simply more difficult. On the way home he lost contact with his friends – then a large search campaign with two drone teams started.

In the middle of Saturday, countless firefighters from the Leibnitz district had to move. The reason: a young person from the south of Styria had drawn an unreasonable conclusion on the way home of the MayPole. He opted for an abbreviation by the sulm.

However, because his friends could no longer reach him, they were very worried. They buzzed to look for him – but without success. They then warned the Gleinstätten Volunteer Fire Brigade, and the drone team of the Fire Brigade Command Leibnitz was also consulted.

Second threat team moved
“A drone with a thermal image camera was used,” reports spokesperson for the Herbert Putz area. But it soon became clear that the search in the large area would not be easy – the health of the young person was also doubtful. And so the threat team from Deutschlandsberg was added to support.

The sleepless night, however, ended with a success for the many emergency services: “In the end it was found well,” says Andreas Haring, who was on site for the fire brigade. The assignment was finished at 5 o’clock in the morning – the young people were brought to his parents.
