On Saturday morning a woman was killed in Thessaloniki after a bomb exploded in her hands. The 38-year-old was probably planning to chase an ATM in the air with the explosives.
The Greek was still seriously injured in a hospital, but only her death could be found there, said it. The police could quickly exclude a terrorist background. They already knew them because of different predatory offenses. Moreover, she had already been to prison, reported the Greek daily Kathimerini.
Wants to blow ATM
In this case she probably wanted to chase a cash machine with the explosives, the officials suspected. This suspicion is supported by the recordings of surrounding surveillance cameras.
Neighbors reported that they had heard a huge bang that felt like an earthquake.
