The editor-in-chief of the TV channel Nativa TV defended the Pontifex against the accusation of having abuse cases in Peru. For the last conclave, some media had speculated that Prevost, which was one of the “Papabili”, could have treated the cases of abuse during his pastoral activity in Peru. The two reveal that Ugaz Cruz and Pedro Salinas competed to defend Prevost. According to their own statements, the two journalists received support from Prevost in their research, which ultimately led to the dissolution of the organization.
