At the edge of the film festival in Cannes, a palm tree falls over and fell for a walker. The 30-year-old Japanese were taken to a hospital with head injury.
The accident took place on Saturday afternoon in the “Croisette”, the famous beach promenade of the South Franse city. According to “Bild” information, the victim is a young Japanese film producer who wanted to present his work “brand new landscape” on the side row.
Some eyewitnesses reported that the fallen palm tree was affected. Moreover, there was a violent gust of wind at the time of the accident. “I heard a cry, turned around and the palm was uprooted – I would say it was in bad condition,” said a Luxembourg festival visitor to the “Bild”.

A spokeswoman for the town hall said the Palm was three meters high and confirmed the wounded passer -by. He was removed by rescue workers. The police blocked the scene of the accident on the edge of the fight.
