During construction work in Gloggnitz (Lower Austria), an employee fell on a construction site of ÖBB with an unsecured concrete wall. He was badly injured.
Witnesses who saw the incident at the ASC building from the station immediately alerted the emergency services. According to the police, the employee of a commissioned construction company fell almost four meters deep into a shaft after the impact, along with a loose concrete wall. The Labor Inspectorate of Lower Austria was also informed.
The man suffered serious injuries in the pelvic area and was then flown to Meidling Hospital with the Christophorus 3 emergency doctor helicopter.
