A resident of Oberglan (Carinthia) was surprised when he drove a forest road on Tuesday: he met a wolf!
“The wolf was suddenly on the forest path there. He looked, I looked, then I got a photo, that was away again,” reports the man of Oberglan of the “Carinthian Krone”.
He reported his viewing of the hunters. “I don’t know if it is the same wolf that was seen in Moosburg the day before. From the distance of the distance it should not be a problem for him,” said the man who also warned a sheep farmer who has his herd in the neighborhood.
Wolf was very close to a settlement
“I have 100 meters away from the point of viewing a meadow with two horses, they are large, the wolf will probably not do it; in pairs the wolves would do it. But he was also very close to the settlement, which is only 50 meters away, where children play. Usually a wolf is attacking, but there is a quasy feeling,” Rudi Retzer thinks danger. “He will probably tear the series now.”
A predator or two in the area?
De Jager cannot say whether the Wolf van Oberglan is the same that has been observed in Moosburg, Pörtsburg, Pörtschach and Stallhofen in the last few days. “Of course the photos are not that sharp, but it seems to me that it is a different, there must be two wolves in the area.”
The hunters will remain attentive. If there are cracks of sheep, a shooting arrangement can take place.
