Already today, Friday, it builds on the Tauern Highway in the morning. Around 11.30 am the file for the construction site of the tunnel on the A10 in Golling back to Hallein. Moreover, it was also damaged at the border crossing on the Walserberg. The loss of time is already significant.
The strongest travel weekend has taken a full speed – not on the A10. At 8 o’clock there was a 70 -minute delay on the A10 between Hallein and Golling. Around 11.30 am it was an hour and a half. Practically unchanged compared to the early morning.
Fully lock by burning VW bus
This caused traffic jams and further loss of time on the A1 at the Knoop/Walserberg. An older VW bus had set fire to a technical defect shortly after 11 a.m., reported the Traunstein police. In the afternoon there was therefore a total lock in the direction of Salzburg.
Voluntary fire brigades of Pitten and Wals were in action. The highway was released shortly after 1 p.m. The file was still about five kilometers back on the A8 in Bavaria.
The entire weekend will be a patience test in the adjacent communities along the A10, such as in Kuchl and Golling. Although the Downhill blocks of the Tauern highway are in force, travelers must remain on the A10, but the past has shown that the effect is not too great. The situation should become tighter again during the day.
