Violent pressure wave – Fireplace explodes: of the parts of the windows

A violent pressure lighting explosion lets parts of a tiled stove fly through the air on Pentecost on Sunday in Feldkirchen/Danube in Upper Austria. Both residents of the house were at home at the time of the accident and were injured. About 50 firefighters of two weirs were used for two and a half hours.

The Fire Brigades Bad Mühllacken and Landzaag were informed of a residential building in Feldkirchen on the Danube on Pentecost on Sunday around 2 p.m. When the 50 emergency services arrived on the scene of the accident, the two residents of the house waited for the building.

Save the window
It soon became clear that there was a deflection or pressure lighting explosion during a tiled stove. The pressure wave was so violent that parts of the fireplace followed the air and the windows of the adjacent winter garden hit. Both residents had stayed in the building at the time of the accident and were injured in the hospital.

Early unclear
A breathing protection team of the fire brigade checked the building, the destroyed windows were made available in a way. Why the explosion had arisen is the subject of investigations.
