The Viennese police have succeeded in a blow for various alleged members of a group of perpetrators in the drug environment. The operations already took place at the beginning of April in Vienna and Lower Austria. In the course of a planned focus campaign on 2 April this year, officials in Leopoldstadt arrested a 52 -year -old Ukrainian citizen at 12.00. He was observed after a hint and would have aimed a car for smuggling travel. The evaluation of his mobile phone showed that he reportedly regularly transported a lot of money between Bratislava and Vienna.

An apartment key that the man has guaranteed, the researchers also led to a thus with a so -burned “money -bunker apartment” in the Alsergrund. There were high cash amounts in euros, Ukrainian currency and Russian rubles.

Money, hunting guns and gas pistol protected
On the same day a 22-year-old Austrian was arrested, who, according to the police, may have been a messenger for the Ukrainian. The officials could take him at a transfer location with cash in the lower six -digit euro range. Later more money was found in his apartment, just like a shotgun with ammunition, a gas pistol and a fake document.

Further research then led to a 41 -year -old Serbian citizen who probably acted as a client. In a “drug bunker apartment” in Leopoldstadt, as the police described it, about 5.5 kilograms of cocaine, magazine and cartridges of a fist-fire weapon, a small amount of marijuana and cash in the lower to medium-doly euro range were protected.

5.5 kilograms of cocaine, more than 320,000 euros
In the evening there were further house searches in the Donaustadt districts and the Alsergrund in the course of the operation. Three men with Austrian and Syrian citizenship of 26, 27 and 73 were reported. They are suspected of being part of the network. Cash amounts in the lower five -digital range were guaranteed at home.

A total of 5.5 kilograms of cocaine, 16.5 grams of marijuana, 322,640 euros and two weapons including ammunition were protected in this research complex.

Further attacks in mid -April
Another part for the officials started on April 11: Various arrests found both in simmering and in Vösendorf in Lower Austria. The handcuffs clicked on a 33, a 34 and a 35-year-old Slovak and for a 54-year-old Hungarian citizens. The men would be part of the logistics chain, which brought the medicines from Spain to Austria.

A suspicious truck was stopped in the course of the hidden investigation to simmer, the police said. There the emergency services found around 119 kilograms of marijuana and around 200 grams of hashish and 830 euros in cash. Shortly thereafter, the 54-year-old with nearly 330,000 euros appeared in cash at the presumably agreed transfer location. The man was arrested. Foreign money was also discovered with him. Slovak suspects were arrested near a shopping center in Lower Austria. It is said that they have given drug deliveries through a Messenger service.

The State Criminal Police Office in Vienna, South Branch, is conducting further research.
