Due to the summer heat, many people are now looking for refreshment in swimming – and this can be fully enjoyed in the waters of the lower Austria
When the Mercury column climbs over the brand of 30 degrees, it is a blessing in a badmate. And in Lower Austria, the jump in the refreshing water is currently absolutely harmless: “The water quality is high, there are no health risks,” explains the responsible state council Eva Prischl.
28 Bath spaces checked
From the bathing pond in Allenssteig via Mijnmeer in Langau to the Seetlach in Langenzersdorf, the ocean in Guntramsdorf or the Kampasen-28 bathing places, which are considered so-called EU bath waters, have been tested in the past few days. The water quality is subdivided into four evaluation levels in these checks, which are carried out during the bath season with intervals of 14 days: excellent, good, sufficient and bad.
26 Top results
“26 of the 28 water samples from Lower Austria received the highest quality,” says Prischl. The Ratzersdorfer see in St. Pölten and the Aubad in Tulln were rated with a “good”. In both cases, heavy rainfall not only the water, but also the test results, shortly before sampling. However, this should not detract from the bathing pleasure in the starting wave, such as emphasizing the experts.
