The current heat wave has a strong grip on Europe. Up to 38 degrees can also be expected in the east of Austria in the coming days. There is a heat warning in large parts of Germany. For the far west of the country and the upper Rhine, the meteorologists warned of “extreme heat”.
France also moans under the high temperatures. According to the weather authority Météo France, it was at the second highest level of warning in 68 of the 96 degepartements on French of the mainland. The temperatures in France are currently only lower on the English canal and on the border with Belgium.
Up to 41 degrees in France

It also has “strong health effects on the entire population”.
The traffic was limited in the larger area in Paris. However, the operators warned: “Don’t forget to protect yourself against the sun and drink enough.” Visitors standing in front of Snake would be available on their way to the Trinkbrunnen Eiffel Tower.
The Ministry of Education expected that nearly 1350 schools would remain “wholly or partly” closed. The summer holidays will start in France next Saturday.
Other Mediterranean countries are also affected
The current heat wave also affects other Mediterranean countries. Spain reported a new June heat record on Monday with 46 degrees Celsius in Huelva, and the thermometer even climbed to 46.6 degrees in Mora in Portuguese.
In Portugal, however, a slight relaxation of the situation is expected for Tuesday. Only the second highest heat warning level or Orange should apply in all areas.
