Shots were fired late Thursday evening in Burghausen near the Austrian border. According to the newspaper BILD, at least one man was shot dead by an unknown person. The initiated large-scale manhunt also extends to Austria, one should “do not bring hitchhikers”.
A few hours ago, a man was shot dead in the German town of Burghausen, right on the border with Upper Austria. The large-scale search for the culprit extended to Austria overnight, helicopters circled over fields, the police blocked numerous roads.
Don’t pick up hitchhikers
At the same time, an appeal to the population: the authorities warned against taking hitchhikers in the region (see map). Police are being deployed with “strong forces” in the region, it said.
