Police are still in the dark looking for two robbers who attacked a jeweler in Kufstein, Tyrol on Wednesday. It may have been an employee of the store who made the two strangers flee. The police published photos of the masked perpetrators and asked the population for information.
A robbery of a jeweler in Kufstein on Wednesday afternoon continues to baffle police – the “Krone” reported. Two masked strangers entered the store around 5:20 p.m. and demanded cash from a saleswoman. As the police investigators describe, “one of the two showed an object in the shape of a gun”.
Apparently the perpetrators fled with a crutch
But the courageous employee – the store owner is currently on vacation abroad – did not comply with the request. Instead, according to “Krone” information, she allegedly attacked the two robbers with a crutch and eventually forced them to flee. The two left the store without taking anything.
The police then started a search for the perpetrators, and officers from the Cobra special unit were also on site and combed the center of the fortified city. According to information from “Krone”, the investigators may have found clothing in a parking lot in the immediate vicinity of the crime scene and a barrier there would have been damaged. It is still unclear whether this is actually related.

However, the unknown perpetrators themselves could not be caught the day after the attack. According to the director, the two are probably teenagers. During their attempted robbery, they were captured by a security camera and the police published the footage. Now they hope for useful information about the identity of the two robbers.
