After Missile Attack – Zelenskyj: Classify Russia as a “Terrorist State”.

Date:

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi described Russia as a “terrorist state” after the rocket attack in the center of the city of Vinnytsia in the west of the country. “No other country in the world poses such a terrorist threat as Russia,” Zelenskyy said in his video address published Thursday night on the 141st day of the war.

And no other country in the world dares to destroy “peaceful cities and everyday human life” every day with its missiles and artillery.

Dozens killed in city attack
23 people, including three children, were killed in a rocket attack in Vinnytsia on Thursday, the head of state said. Those are not the final numbers. Dozens of people are still missing and the search in the rubble continues, Zelenskyj said. Many are also seriously injured.

The day showed once again that Russia should be officially classified as a “terror state”. A medical center was also hit. Zelenskyi stressed that the attack took place at a time when the prosecution of Russian war crimes was being discussed at a conference in The Hague. This shows Russia’s contempt for international law. “And if someone attacks a medical center in Dallas or Dresden. (…) Isn’t that terrorism?” said Zelenskyy. He called for a war crimes tribunal against Russia.

Missiles hit office center
Three missiles allegedly hit an office center. Then a fire broke out and hit about 50 parked cars. Since Russia invaded Ukraine in late February, Russia has repeatedly insisted that it only attacks military targets in the neighboring country. Despite this, there are many civilian casualties. The destruction of civilian infrastructure is extensive. Missiles of old Soviet design often miss their targets. At least 48 people died when a rocket hit a residential building in Chasiv Yar in eastern Ukraine’s Donetsk region.
