On Saturday there was a lot of traffic early in the morning on some connections to the south. The Tauernautobahn (A10) and the Karawankenautobahn (A11) and the Fernpass route (B 179) were particularly affected.
On the A10, it was mainly stuck between Teisendorf and Puch-Hallein, a travel time delay of 80 minutes had to be taken into account, the ÖAMTC reports. The Karawankentunnel was the hotspot on the A11, where a waiting time of 50 minutes had to be accepted. Columns formed on the B 179 between Füssen and Reutte-Süd, resulting in a loss of 40 minutes.
The ÖAMTC assumed that traffic volume would increase over the course of the day. Drivers were asked to drive carefully and observe the rescue lane.
