In a vigilante act, four teens beat an 18-year-old, landing him in hospital. He allegedly raped a friend of the suspect. There are in any case convictions for serious bodily harm!
“Anyone who rapes someone deserves something like that,” said a defendant in Vienna’s regional court. “That’s what the police and the court are for,” clarified judge Alexandra Skrdla. In an act of vigilance, four youths between the ages of 15 and 18 beat an 18-year-old. He is said to be the rapist of a good friend of the four boys.
The girl is also being charged. She is said to have turned on her friends: “I wouldn’t want them to get in trouble because of me.”
“I just wanted to talk”
After the 15-year-old told the suspect about the incident, they left. “We just wanted to talk to him and ask him to turn himself in,” explains one of the youths. But it didn’t stop there. They beat him to the hospital. First in a supermarket and finally in front of it on the street.
Prison sentences for vigilante
For this, the four boys were not legally sentenced to five months probation to ten months unconditional prison – two of the accused youths had already been sentenced. The girl was acquitted.
The suspect’s 18-year-old victim is in custody pending his own trial for rape.
