The Provincial Council of Biscay made the first payments to petrol stations in the area on Tuesday to offset the application of the EUR 0.20 per liter reduction in the final fuel price, which totaled EUR 4.8 million.
As reported by the regional institution, this first payment was made to the 26 taxpayers who own gas stations and direct sales outlets who requested the advance from Thursday, March 31, to the morning of last Monday, April 4.
The Provincial Council of Alava will pay €844,000 this Thursday, which corresponds to the first payments to 20 gas stations in the area that have requested the cost of discounting 20 cents per liter in the final fuel price.
The Foral government council approved the procedure on Tuesday to “speed up” these payments and the first declarations will be made this Thursday, as explained at a press conference by lava’s deputy general Ramiro González.
For its part, the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa will refund “in the coming days” the prepayments of the bonuses to the gas stations set up by the government of Spain.
“In the coming days we will make the refund and it will be in the month of July when the state government will basically make the corresponding refund to the provincial treasury,” assured provincial spokesman Eider Mendoza.
