In Carinthia, the salvage of the motorboat that had run aground on the snake island in the Wörthersee proved difficult.
“On Friday we turned the boat 180 degrees so that we can do the salvage more easily this week,” reports Paul Schmalzl of the traditional yard of the same name. The vehicle was pulled from Snake Island on Monday afternoon. “We had to lift it with air cushions. With three other boats, a total of six propellers and more than 2000 hp, we made it,” continues Schmalzl.
It was pulled by private boats and numerous helpers. And the liner “MS Santa Lucia” was on standby.
Now the luxury vehicle, which belongs to a German entrepreneur, is being repaired again. He was taken to hospital with serious injuries. The man is now on the mend.
