Bloody act in Innsbruck – girlfriend stabbed: suspect is silent

Date:

Did he want to kill his girlfriend? The Afghan (23) who allegedly attacked and injured his 24-year-old Austrian partner with a knife in an apartment in Innsbruck on Friday evening, was interrogated on Sunday by detectives from the Tyrolean State Police.

However, the alleged perpetrator has not contributed much to the clarification of the case. “The 23-year-old suspect exercised his right to refuse to testify,” the LKA said. The public prosecutor has now ordered that the suspect be admitted to the prison of Innsbruck.

Tale of lies turned out to be an attack
The bloody act took place on Friday around 6 p.m. in the Innsbruck district of Hötting. The police were called by the ambulance because the woman in the apartment had fallen with her shoulder on a knife.

“It actually turned out that the 23-year-old Afghan attacked his girlfriend with a knife during an argument and stabbed and cut her in the shoulder region and left thigh,” the researchers said at the time.

suspected attempted murder
The murder weapon was a 35-centimeter kitchen knife. The victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries. The woman was able to leave on Saturday. The suspect is under investigation on suspicion of attempted murder.
