The well-known opponent of the corona measure Jennifer Klauninger was sentenced to five months in prison at the Vienna court on Wednesday for assaulting a police officer. The verdict is not final.
An incident during a demonstration against the Corona measures in December 2021 has been criminalized, when there was a dispute between Klauninger and an official. Police had formed a cordon headed toward the protesters.

Klauninger allegedly failed to follow instructions and interfered in official acts, ultimately sending her to the ground. She allegedly punched an officer three times on the chest, which she resolutely denied in court.
Klauninger seemed emotionally upset after the trial. Her attorney, Michael Drexler, appealed the verdict in full.
