Record level reached – Porr increased profit to 15.6 million euros

The listed construction group Porr increased its production by more than ten percent in the first half of 2022 and significantly increased its profits. The result for the period increased by approximately 81 percent to 15.6 million euros. Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) increased from EUR 114 million to EUR 125.8 million.

Revenues also increased by 13.4 percent year-on-year to approximately 2.6 billion euros. The order book is at a record level of more than eight billion euros, which gives the construction giant a stable starting point for the coming years, according to the board of directors in the semi-annual financial report.

There are also positive signals from the market, where there are signs that material prices are stabilizing.

Like Strabag, Porr was in the top 100 largest construction companies in the world last year. The largest construction companies in the world now come from China. Among the top 10 are eight conglomerates from the Middle Kingdom. Overall, the industry grew significantly in 2021.
