The Ukrainian and Austrian governments have signed a framework agreement for economic cooperation in the development of projects, including in the field of health care. This was announced on Facebook by the first Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Yulia Svyrydenko. An official confirmation from Austria was still pending.
“On September 4, the governments of Ukraine and Austria signed a framework agreement for economic cooperation in the development of projects. We are grateful to our Austrian partners for their willingness to actively participate in the reconstruction of Ukraine and invest in its development. The signed document is another important step in deepening the partnership and cooperation between our countries,” said Swyrydenko.
She clarifies that the document provides for the implementation of a number of joint projects. Priorities include the construction and equipment of the Okhmatdyt National Children’s Hospital, a modern university hospital in Kiev and the establishment of a national rehabilitation center in Lviv.

“I would like to thank the Austrian partners and personally the Austrian Minister of Labor and Economic Affairs Martin Kocher (ÖVP) for the financial and humanitarian aid to Ukraine and for the initiative to take over the patronage of the Zaporizhzhya region, which needs to to be mined and rebuilt, pronounce it,” continued Swyrydenko.
