The elections will take place on November 23.
The current president of the CEOE, the Spanish Confederation of Business Organizations, Antonio Garamendi, will present himself again to extend his mandate for another four years. It will be on November 23 when the election meeting will be held, a date unanimously approved by CEOE management and for which there is currently no other candidate. However, according to the statutes of the employers’ organization, applications can be submitted up to 15 days before the elections.
Garamendi communicated it on Wednesday to the board of directors of the organization and after consultation, as confirmed through his Twitter account, to the various organizations that make up the employers’ association.
“We will continue to work and show our commitment to business and our country,” Garamendi wrote. The current president was elected to his current term on November 20, 2018, when he replaced Juan Rosell, who defeated him in the company’s previous elections in 2014.
