The deadlines for applications for energy cost compensation with a voucher of 150 euros have been extended. Applications should now be possible until the end of October 2022, the deadline for the subsequent data transmission should also be extended (until the end of March 2023).
According to the current legal situation, the deadline for applying for a voucher expired at the end of August 2022.
More than 2.6 million vouchers have already been requested, according to parliamentary correspondence between the ÖVP and the Greens.
A total of around four million vouchers were sent out under the energy cost compensation scheme. These can be submitted to the respective electricity supplier and reduce the annual bill by 150 euros.
