The future of healthcare in Austria is “a matter of the heart” for a new start-up. Sebastian Kurz and Alexander Schütz have now won as prominent investors.
HeldYn is a platform for home care that brings people in need of care together with nurses and therapists and thus relieves those affected quickly and unbureaucratically. “Top healthcare professionals are rare and the dropout rate is high, which is exactly where we come into play with HeldYn,” says co-founder Sabine Niedermüller.
“Care affects us all. Everyone wants to know that their loved ones are in good hands and professionally cared for. I am convinced that Simone Mérey & Sabine Niedermüller will continue to improve healthcare with their experience and passion. Her concept shows new avenues in nursing and gives the nursing profession new perspectives,” said ex-Chancellor Kurz.
In Austria alone, a million people are involved in caring for their relatives, who no longer receive the care they need. Long turnaround times, bureaucracy, unqualified caregivers and poor or no knowledge of German – these are the main bottlenecks for people in need of care and their families.
„It was clear to us that something had to change now.”
“We knew something had to change now. We start in Vienna with the offer and through HeldYn we offer care and therapy at home in the best professional quality and give people the options that have long been self-evident when looking for a doctor: namely choosing their own care. Because with the right, highly qualified care at home, many relocations to a healthcare institution can be prevented,” says co-founder Simone Mérey.
