There is talk of modern governance all over the country. Nenzing has left the discussion phase behind. With a four-day working week for employees and citizen-friendly opening hours, the Vorarlberg community is setting new standards.
The municipality of Nenzing, with a population of about 6,000, is a prime example of modern governance. In order to extend the hours of service in the town hall, the administration in charge of Mayor Florian Kasseroler has created an unusual but all the more effective system: employees of the town hall have the opportunity to work their hours four days a week, from Monday to Thursday. As a result, they have a long weekend and the residents of Nenzing longer opening hours.
