Strong commitment to Graz as an air traffic hub: Eurowings is significantly expanding its presence at Styria Airport and the range of new direct connections is being expanded significantly.
With Chania (Crete) and Larnaca, new destinations for Graz, as well as Hurghada, Karpathos, Corfu, Kos and Rhodes, seven destinations in the popular holiday destinations of Greece, Egypt and Cyprus are on the program. A capacity expansion to Mallorca is in the works, according to a broadcast from the airport.
Good news for business travelers
In addition to the expansion to the south, Eurowings is expanding the range of city connections to Germany: the Lufthansa subsidiary will connect the Styrian capital with Berlin and Hamburg in the summer flight schedule of 2023. Together with the connections to Düsseldorf and Stuttgart, travelers from Graz will then be able to choose from up to 25 weekly frequencies to German city destinations. Business travelers in particular benefit from more flexibility during their travels.
As part of this program expansion, Eurowings will also base an aircraft at Graz Airport. This makes Graz the eleventh base of Eurowings and is part of the growth trajectory of the leading value carrier. The Eurowings offer for the summer will be available from Monday at the latest, December 19, 2022, bookable.
Can be booked from 19 December
“We are very pleased to be able to offer a wide range of attractive destinations from Graz next summer, which are at the top of many holidaymakers’ wish lists,” explains Jens Bischof, CEO of Eurowings. “At the same time, we are connecting Steiermark more strongly than before with the main German conurbations. Both holidaymakers and business travelers benefit from this.”
