Working 20 hours a week and still earning as a full-time job: this one-year opportunity at B&R in Eggelsberg is proving to be a magnet. A week after the offer became known, there were already more than 350 registrations for the two-day working week.
“We don’t set upper limits for ourselves,” said Jörg Theis when B&R’s director announced that the automation specialist in Eggelsberg was also introducing a two-day weekend week of up to one year – and that they were looking for staff.
And 20-hour shifts with full pay have really taken off. Within 24 hours the company had already received more than 100 registrations and after exactly one week more than 350 interested people had registered.
The first job day will take place in mid-January
While B&R considers manufacturing experience a top priority when announcing a job, career switchers are still welcome, the company, which is part of the ABB Group, points out. The first job day is planned for mid-January, to which all suitable candidates will be invited. These days should then be repeated if necessary.
