Only shortly after moving to the private sector will former Minister of Tourism and Agriculture, Elisabeth Köstinger, take up a new role as of 1 April. Specifically, she will become a strategic advisor to the Christian Baha group of companies. She resigns from her previous position as director of a financial company.
Last year it was a long time puzzling where the former minister will end up after leaving politics. In September, she was finally hired by the Mountain-View Data company, which also belongs to the Baha group of companies – only to refocus a little later.
Moving to Vienna
As early as April, Köstinger will transfer to the Baha Group with its headquarters in Vienna as a consultant, the company announced in a broadcast on Tuesday. There, in addition to Mountain-View Data, she will also work for baha – the information company. The company claims to be engaged in the visualization of financial and economic data. The leadership of Mountain-View Data, based in Carinthia, will be taken over by the previous co-directors.
Job hopping after politics
Köstinger is not the only former member of the government who has docked with entrepreneur Baha. Former Finance Minister Gernot Blümel also found a new job in his group of companies as director of the hedge fund Superfund. But this task did not take long either – the former politician moved to the group of companies of the health IT entrepreneur Frank Gotthardt after just a few months in April.
