News from the Commerzialbank case: former boss Martin Pucher has to worry about his badge of honor from the state of Burgenland. A new law should make it possible to revoke a conviction upon conviction. The decision on this will be taken on Thursday in the state parliament.
Anyone who has received a state award should not worry about losing it again. A recording was simply not foreseen in the provisions. That should now change, the state parliament will pass a corresponding law on Thursday. Persons convicted of a criminal offense must be deprived of the award if the offense damages the good name of Burgenland.
Pucher is the bearer of the decoration
The new provision should also apply to honors awarded before the new law entered into force. This could apply to former Commerzialbank boss Martin Pucher if convicted. This is the bearer of the country’s Grand Decoration of Honour. A denial would be more than justified for the many victims.
