Tesla’s share price surge earlier this year has helped star entrepreneur Elon Musk regain the top spot in the super-rich Bloomberg Billionaires rankings. With an estimated fortune of around $ 187 billion (about 176 billion euros), the 51-year-old again passed Bernard Arnault, head of the luxury goods group LVMH.
The 73-year-old Frenchman, whom Musk overtook two and a half months ago, was recently worth around $185 billion, according to the rankings.
Musk’s wealth has risen and fallen as a result of his large stake in the American electric car maker, with shares of Tesla rising nearly 70 percent since the start of the year. However, Arnault was still ahead of Musk at Bloomberg rival “Forbes” on Tuesday. However, the lists are only based on estimates anyway.
The Billionaires charts mostly use publicly available information about assets such as stocks, real estate, artifacts and other luxury goods. The information is considered incorrect and is sometimes disputed.
