Huawei Technologies Co Ltd has replaced more than 13,000 parts affected by US trade sanctions in its products. This is according to a transcript of the February 24 speech by the founder of Chinese tech giant Ren Zhengfei.
Over the past three years, Huawei has been replacing components affected by US trade sanctions with domestic Chinese products, according to a speech released Friday by China’s Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
About 4,000 product circuit boards were redesigned. Printed circuit board production has stabilized. In 2022, Huawei invested $23.8 billion in research and development. The information could not be independently verified by Reuters.
