FACC is back at good cruising altitude. After many aviation orders were frozen due to the pandemic, the engine is running smoothly again at the aircraft supplier from the Innviertel. Turnover rose to 607 million euros last year.
FACC has left the bottom of the Corona crisis behind, the demand for short and medium-haul aircraft and business jets ensures well-filled order books – as is also apparent from the figures for 2022 from the aircraft supplier from the Innviertel. In the previous year, under the leadership of Robert Machtlinger, the company achieved a turnover of 607 million euros and an operating result before interest and taxes of 5.5 million euros.
In addition to the production of aircraft parts, FACC has also made a name for itself as a company with an innovative spirit. Last year, EUR 43.5 million was invested in new research and development projects related to lightweight construction solutions for the aviation industry. The focus here is on new high-tech materials that greatly shorten production times, but at the same time are fully recyclable and, just like the materials currently used, are extremely resilient.
Goal: 600 new employees in the next 18 months
The company currently employs approximately 3,000 people in 13 locations worldwide. A further 600 employees will be brought on board over the next 18 months, almost exclusively at the Austrian site.
