In times of painfully high energy prices, it is good to laugh at those who produce their own electricity – for example, with a photovoltaic system. If you have enough roof space and temporary storage, you can become independent from electricity companies in the summer under good conditions. But even if you don’t own a home, you can lower your electricity bill with solar energy: balcony power plants make it possible.
Refrigerators, internet routers, smart home technology: in our households there are consumers who need power 24 hours a day. And not too scarce: according to Austrian statistics, refrigerators and freezers are responsible for 19 percent of average consumption and other standby appliances for five percent. A solar power plant on the balcony can do wonders here. The installation is not difficult, but it must be well prepared.
