Together with the Chamber of Commerce and kronehit, the “Krone” has stimulated the talent turbo with the campaign “Student seeks apprentice” and had hundreds of students present their company via video. After the online vote at krone.at, it’s now time for the final: our reporter Sarah Jahn was on site with the ten companies that our readers voted in the top 10. Today she is with Leiner, where Bilguun introduces us to his company and apprenticeship.
Bilguun is 18 years old and is in his second year of Leiner’s office clerk training. With krone.tv reporter Sarah Jahn, he gives us exciting insights into his apprenticeship and his work – and explains what an apprenticeship at Leiner has to offer.
The 18-year-old decided to do an internship at the well-known furniture store because friends had already completed an internship there or are in training and recommend Leiner as a very good employer, he explains in an interview. Bilguun definitely prefers apprenticeship to school, he reveals, because he just has a lot more to do in apprenticeship and does “an insane amount” in his day job.
The student should not shy away from contact with customers
By the way: Anyone who is apprenticed to Leiner and wants to become an office clerk here first receives one to two weeks of sales training before starting work in the office further down the road, says the 18-year-old during a tour of the furniture store. Contact with customers is particularly important to Leiner, so that the students also understand “how the other side works. So what the sellers do,” says Bilguun.
What are the benefits of an internship at Leiner? In addition to the staff discount – which you get on everything, including food, as the 18-year-old notes with a laugh – he positively emphasizes the learning seminars offered each grade. Bilguun wants to catch up on his high school diploma after his three-year apprenticeship at night school, he also says.
What we could clearly see during our visit to Leiner: The traditional furniture store offers a variety of training opportunities, from office internships to sales and warehouse logistics. The sales department is the company’s most lucrative sector, as krone.tv reporter Sarah Jahn finally discovers. If you are interested in an internship at Leiner, you can certainly expect varied work, the opportunity to earn good money and, of course, career opportunities – from the person responsible for the product range to the regional manager and the director.
