After the online vote at krone.at, it’s now time for the final: our reporter Sarah Jahn was on site with the ten companies that our readers voted in the top 10. Today she is at Helvetia Versicherungen AG, where Zainab introduces us to her company and internship.
Zainab is 19 years old and is in her second year of training as an insurance employee at Helvetia Versicherungen AG. With krone.tv reporter Sarah Jahn, she gives us exciting insights into her apprenticeship and her work – and explains what an apprenticeship at Helvetia Versicherungen AG has to offer.
Work environment “preferably at eye level”
The 19-year-old currently works in the sales management department, she explains in an interview. The sales director is only two offices away from her own workplace on the 4th floor, she adds during the tour of the building. She describes the working environment as “quite equal” and praises the “really great working atmosphere” in the company. As an apprentice at Helvetia, you definitely feel “unburdened,” says the 19-year-old, who “feels very comfortable” with her internship at the insurance company.
Zainab has been working in the claims department for six months now, two floors above her current workplace. There she was able to deal with car damage, not all accidents, “but partly what you can do as a student,” says the 19-year-old. During her internship so far, she has always been able to count on the support of her trainers, she adds.
At Helvetia, trainees certainly gain insight into the various parts of the company during their training. “We rotate every six months, ie a student ends up in the most diverse departments and thus gains real insight into the insurance industry,” Zainab praises the broad training. Above all, the 19-year-old emphasizes positively how important further training is in the company. “Because in the insurance industry it’s very important to keep up-skilling, because there’s always something new coming up or something new to learn,” Zainab said in an interview with Sarah Jahn.
“You always have someone by your side”
What does Zainab particularly like about the apprenticeship training at Helvetia? “The fact that you are seen as a student here, that you receive guidance from first grade to third grade,” says the 19-year-old. “You always have someone by your side, a contact person,” she emphasizes the great working atmosphere and the training and further training opportunities, as well as the fair wages, the free public transport ticket and the safe job.
Other advantages that Zainab reveals to us during our visit: the free lunch menu for the students in restaurant Joma (at the same address on the Hoher Markt in the center of Vienna as the general management of Helvetia Versicherungen AG; note) and the – our crown. tv-Reporter can’t believe it at first glance – bonuses for excellent school success.
