Helmets, tyres, … – After bankruptcy: Forstinger goods under the hammer

Bargain hunters beware! The auto accessories chain Forstinger is auctioning goods, equipment and some tools from the workshops of 14 locations that will be closed. At the end of June it was announced that the company had gone bankrupt for the third time.

The first auction will take place in Traisen on September 7, followed by the Murau location on September 8, Traiskirchen on September 11 and Hagenbrunn on September 13. The dates of the other locations are constantly being added to aurena.at. The entire campaign should be completed by September.

A visit to the objects is also possible, says auction house Aurena, which takes care of the auctions, on Tuesday.

From child seats to storage racks, everything goes under the hammer
Everything in terms of goods and equipment available in the branches can be auctioned: from gear oil to tire sets, from child seats to ice scrapers, from motorcycle helmets to bicycle inner tubes. The goods and storage racks, advertising stands, shopping carts and sales channels, but also the equipment of office and break rooms are going under the hammer – often for the starting price of 1 euro.

14 of the 87 branches will be closed
Forstinger is going through a restructuring process, according to the broadcast, 14 of the 87 branches will be closed. In August, 236 creditors and 522 employees filed claims of EUR 21.2 million during the insolvency court hearing.

Vote on the recovery plan on September 26
Of this, 14.5 million euros has been accounted for. The remaining amount was formally disputed for the time being. The vote on the restructuring plan will take place on September 26, 2023. A minimum quota of 20 percent is offered, payable within two years.

Specifically, these are the sites in Hagenbrunn, Imst, Murau, Pinkafeld, Ried/Innkreis, St. Johann/Tirol, Traisen, Traiskirchen, Vomp, Waidhofen/Thaya and Zistersdorf, Hartberg, Knittelfeld and Neulengbach.
