From fruit and vegetable trader Mathy to AI specialist RobArt: In recent weeks, multi-million dollar bankruptcies have caused a stir in Upper Austria. It is now the turn of the lawyers to liquidate the bankrupt companies. As a liquidator, you convert the assets into money.
Founded: 1955; closed: July 2023! The bankruptcy of fruit and vegetable wholesaler Mathy from Linz came as a negative surprise to many people this summer. The debt of the traditional company, which also had its own banana ripening factory, amounted to 4.789 million euros. Since then, curator Christopher Schuster has been in charge: this week the lawyer wants to sell the fleet at the Südpark location.
Fitted kitchens, fixtures, etc. are auctioned
The remains of Tirex Küchen GmbH will go under the hammer on October 9 and 12 on the aurena.at platform: fitted kitchens, fixtures, cushions and the like are up for grabs. On July 3, bankruptcy proceedings were opened for the kitchen planner and dealer operating from Wels.
There are still many question marks at RobArt GmbH: There was already a renovation solution for the AI company, which specialized in vacuum cleaner robots. But that failed yesterday because a shareholder did not want to transfer his shares.
“Still have hope”
“I still have hope that a rescue company will be set up to take over the vacuum cleaner division,” says curator Norbert Mooseder, who ordered the closure of the company. The debts amount to more than € 9.5 million.
