A 15-year-old girl died in Italy when two friends wanted to make a selfie on a rock lead. A large boulder was suddenly loosened and fell down.
According to the first study, the three young people met on Tuesday at Cesna Beach in Borgo Valbelluna. They wanted to spend a relaxing day on the river. All help, however, came too late for the 15-year-old Italian. She was buried under a heavy boulder and died on the scene of the accident. Both rescue workers and the fire brigade were deployed, with the support of a rubber boat and a helicopter. In the beginning, the emergency services still thought that the girl could have fallen into the water.
The cause of landslides unclear
The rescue of the body was difficult because of the location of the accident. Now it must be clarified why there was a landslide. In the Piave River, a little girl only drowned at the end of June. Earlier, a 21-year-old had been dragged through the water. If you bathe in the river, you must now expect up to 500 euros. Multilingual information boards give the danger.
