At the beginning of this year, the AMS launched the “Berufsinfomat”, a new tool to answer job seekers’ questions about career profiles, training and further training, and salary levels. The basis for this is ChatGPT – a chatbot that uses artificial intelligence. The problem: the software is sexist!
The “Berufsinfomat” has access to several AMS databases and was implemented by the Federal Computing Center (BRZ) and the company Goodguys, which has a contract with ChatGPT. According to AMS boss Johannes Kopf, this makes us a pioneer throughout Europe. Costs: approximately 300,000 euros. Of course, it is said that the chat does not replace personal advice on site. But it “helps to obtain information quickly and dynamically,” says AMS country manager Karl-Heinz Snobe.
