New E-Learning Course in Sales for Small Business

The Enterprise Nation, a small business network and business support provider, and Salesforce, the global leader in customer relationship management, today launched an online learning course to help small and medium-sized businesses improve their selling skills.

The e-learning courses are part of the Sales School curriculum launched by Enterprise Nation and Salesforce in July 2021. The program has so far assisted 2,000 companies with the goal of supporting 10,000 small businesses by the end of January 2022.

The free course consists of five modules that are provided in abbreviated sections as part of the Sales School curriculum designed to increase knowledge of small business sales. These five units are:

· Develop Sales Thinking – Start Selling

· Make sales: Share your business story

· Expand your sales

· Increase your sales by returning customers

· Create an effective sales strategy

The sales school was launched in response to the Enterprise Nation survey, which found sales and marketing (38%) to be an essential skill that small businesses believe they need to support to help them recover from the pandemic.

Emma Jones, founder of Enterprise Nation, said, “There is a shortage of sales skills among small businesses and they tell us that sales and marketing are the key skills they need to support a return after the profitability pandemic. This initiative provides targeted support through a national network of coaches in the UK and Ireland to help with Bridging this gap, selling and building to create a brighter future for business.

“Companies in the UK and Ireland need to fundamentally rethink their operating models in response to the pandemic,” said Brigid Charmant, Senior Vice President, Region for Emerging Small and Medium Business, Salesforce. “We have seen a rapid transition to digital, which is now essential to business survival as we continue to transition from digital to the workplace. Digitization is also essential for post-pandemic recovery. New skills are needed.” Let’s help small businesses improve their skills and qualifications, which are the backbone to our community.”

The Sales School has courses with more than 20 videos. The training will be conducted by consultants from the Enterprise Nation and trainers from the Salesforce School of Sales.

The semi-annual program began on July 14, 2021 and will run until January 31, 2022.
