The German, who served on the board of directors of the chemical company BASF until early 2023, will start her new job on Friday, March 1, and will become CEO of Greiner AG.
Dubourg is the first woman to lead the family business, which was founded in 1868 and employs more than 11,000 people and is one of the leading plastics processors and foam manufacturers for the packaging and automotive industries, as well as for the medical technology and pharmaceutical sectors.
The first woman at the top of a company, the first woman on a board of directors – in 2024 the erosion of boardrooms previously occupied exclusively by men will continue. “Companies recognize that diversity at management level leads to better results,” says Claudia Kraupatz.
Austria lags behind internationally
